Bill passed away at St Barnabas Hospice, Grantham Hospital, on 16th June after a short illness.

Married to Nancy for 55 years. Dad to Stuart ( pre-deceased ) and Jeff. Grandpa to Wade, Kane and Jasmine.

He was born in Bicker, near Donington, Lincolnshire in July 1942, eldest son of 9.

He worked mostly in Sales, initially with Berger Paints then Scottish and Newcastle breweries.

One of life’s great characters, he will be best remembered as a popular Landlord taking over the Spread Eagle, Fletcher Street, in 1984 with Nancy and renaming it the Odd House.

They then ran the White Lion on Bridge End Road throughout the 1990s.He was a keen Nottingham Forest fan aswell as a golfer and would spend many happy hours on his allotment in retirement.

Funeral service to take place at Grantham Crematorium on Tuesday 11th July at 1.30pm. Flowers welcome, donations to Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance
