Passed after a short illness bravely borne at Harrowby lodge Nursing home on 29th December 2022 aged 72 years.

Dearly loved & greatly missed Mum to Ruth, Kristian & Anna, loved mum in law, proud Nana to Chloe, Alissia, Leo, Finley, Max, Phoebe & Arnie, Loved sister of Angela, Paul, Chris, Frank, Mary, Phil, JB & Steph, and a dearly loved Auntie.

Funeral service to take place at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Friday 27th January 2023 at 11:00am followed by Committal at Grantham Crematorium, family flowers only please, donations in memory of Catherine are being collected for the Alzheimer’s Society and can be given on the day

John Smith of Dry Doddington died at his home aged 83 on the 23 December 2022. A fiercely private, independent and kind man, he attended Long Bennington School followed by a fully indentured apprenticeship as a fitter and turner at Aveling-Barford in Grantham. He was one of the last National Service entrants into the RAF, qualifying as an electrical engineer. He was delighted to have helped service Vulcan bombers stationed at RAF Marnham in Norfolk.

Since childhood he was most happy when fixing mechanical and electrical equipment. Instrumental in the local design and build of the first local racing carriage, he went on to start his small repair garage later known as Smith & Fenton. The business became very well known serving the local community and local businesses of all types with their mechanical and electrical needs. He only retired in March 2022 to tend to his beloved garden. He is survived by his brother Brian, niece Alison, nephew Martyn and their children Aden and Maisie.

In accordance with John’s wishes there will be no funeral service, however all enquiries are via Price & Son Family Funeral Directors.

Passed suddenly on the 3rd December 2022 at Grantham Hospital, aged 79 years.

Died suddenly on the 9th December 2022, aged 58. Loving & devoted father to Anna & Gabriel, and dearly loved brother to Judi, Mark & Phil.

Passed suddenly on the 19th December 2022 aged 64 years. Dearly loved partner to Ian, loved Auntie to her many Nephews and Nieces, Loved sister and a friend to Many.

Passed peacefully at Newton House Care Home on the 8th December 2022 aged 89 years.

Passed surrounded by her loving family on 15th November 2022 aged 76 years.
